About this role
Join an established, independent, physician-owned Emergency Medicine group in a community emergency department with lower patient volume, direct access to physician leadership, flexible scheduling, and complimentary company housing for physicians traveling in or grouping shifts.

- Approximately 20,000 annual ED visits
- 11-bed emergency department serving a mixed to lower-acuity population
- Approximately 1.6 patients per hour
- 12 hours of daily APP coverage
- Meditech Expanse EMR and AI scribes
- No floor codes or admitting orders
- ABEM-certified physicians may combine shifts across both Lawton campuses
Qualifications
- ABEM board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine physician preferred
- Primary care physicians with Emergency Room experience may be considered for Southwest-only positions
- Current AHA ACLS and PALS
- Ability to perform standard Emergency Medicine procedures
- Meet Oklahoma licensure and facility credentialing requirements
- Comfortable with efficient clinical workflows, thorough documentation, and collaborative practice
Compensation and benefits
- 1099 independent contractor engagement
- No call requirement
- Complimentary company apartment for traveling physicians or grouped shifts
- Claims-made malpractice coverage with $1 million/$3 million limits
- Covered travel and lodging for scheduled on-site interviews
- Weekend and holiday coverage shared and rotated
- Anticipated credentialing timeline of 60–90 days
Compensation, benefits & practice details
Compensation is a flat $300 hourly rate with no productivity component. Visa sponsorship, relocation support, and license/DEA assistance may be considered individually. This 1099 position does not include an employee benefits package.
